Just ended awesome early celebration with Song, Xian Zhao, Jonathan, Jackie, Ryan and Shirley. Im tired. We had loads of fun enjoying the food and playing Wii as well as just nonsense-ing around. (sorry to Shirlynn, Jacqline and Cherie who couldnt make it)
Its less then a year and I dont care what other haters got to say. It was slalom that got us together, with a whole bunch of nonsense from time to time and laughter. I lost my mind when actually said i want to leave slalom over her, true i still think about her everytime i get tired from training. But this sacrifice is worth it. I was rather irresponsible to even thought about bringing you all up halfway and just leaving you all alone after that. You all changed my journey in not only slalom but my life. Thank you.
So...I woke up early to get prepared for the party which was supposed to start at 12 (all come at 3-5 plus LOL coz overslept). Mum cooked awesome beehoon. Jonathan was the first to come and we just chilled at my room while i watched slalom videos and discuss some ideas i thought would be nice. Then Song arrived, Ryan came shortly after and XZ, Jackie and Shirley came.

also, im not trying to get famous over this incident, i only stepped in after seeing what that ass did was too much. so dont jump to conclusions, i just want to be a regular kid living a regular life of doing what i love to do.
After the release of TPSkate2011 Trailer a year ago, i know many have been eager to see what is coming up for the actual video. So here is a quick preview of what our skaters have to show. I am still collecting the clips as we speak and hopefully launch this video as soon as possible so we can use this for our open house.
Trying a totally new editing style, playing around. Kinda enjoy the fast cuts while playing around with velocity. Played around with some extreme colour correction with totally unmatching colours to see what is the outcome. Turns out its seems like a pretty special painting. A fun style to play with which i will surely use in my future videos alongside with my old editing style.

So the postponed competition was yesterday, amazing weather! So where should i start about yesterday? hmmmm....
So Friday! Exhausted after dancing, skating and filming for the Samsung Dance to Mosh Pit competition. Honestly i took part for the fun of that thing and had no intention to win or get the prize hahas just took part with friends. So met Justin and Cynthia at SMU for Day 2 of our filming. Was late coz my gastric acted up and was tired from the previous day rehearsal as well. Things went really well because we planned everything nicely. Really awesome!

The video plot was pretty simple. I sat down and thought for a pretty long time if i should add an intro to the video. After discussing with the team, we decided that we should since one of the criteria is creativity and came up with a story of me being late and skate my way down to meet them and dance which changed into a story of us PG having a emergency signal and all rushing to meet one another. intro to me was nice and suspenseful whiel i applied what i learnt in school such as showing the skates only till the very part of reveal and running where no one has any idea why we are running until the last part where we 'transformed' into our formals. I took advantage of the intro to introduce the characters as well while adding Freestyle Slalom to share that it can be a form of expression(dance to express right?). Also if you noticed the logos were showed on Samsung Mobiles as this is a Samsung Mobile dance to mosh pit comp...see what we did there? =)
Cynthia took this comp pretty seriously as its her first time trying for a competition so she wanted to win badly i guess. I am pretty happy that this video is well received despite the challenges we face mainly camera issues. We had no HD and i had to shoot on a low and 480p camera. Another challenge was i have no experienced camera person so i could not film it as well compared to the other group i did for.
after helping them make their video I have a clearer picture of what are the potential challenges i would face when i am filming for my group and thus i used a tripod to hold the camera and decided to post edit any track shots. I also went to Recognized Studios to borrow a skateboard for some of the shots (in the intro). And i am pleased with the outcome!
I reached home around 12 and started editing it right away! after 5 hours of hardwork it paid off. and i went off to sleep to prepare for the next day....Ngee Ann Poly Skate competition. 2 hours to wake up. ZZZZzzzzzzz.

RISE AND SHINE! its the next day! rushed out of house and updated the club on what is going on in the competition. Took a train all the way down. Im actually disappointed she didnt come and support but was prepared to accept that fact, after all she was busy too.
So i went and start warming up for the first event of the day...speed slalom. Very very off form. partially because i was recovering from the previous day of a sleepless night and those load of dancing. really affecting my leg muscle hahahs.
Got through qualifying round and went up against Wukai. He was really too fast for me hahahs so i got kicked out after that and didnt get to finals. Oh wells~
Pretty much had fun today while waiting for Classic Slalom to start. The main thing i was looking forward to on that day. *
*Back story* well this is my last competition after the breakup affected me a lot. I made this routine for her when we were together after she told me she will be there for my slalom competition. I did mention in my previous blogs i may be quitting skating but i really am considering because yesterday many of you made me feel that spirit in skating again, and i loved it. still deciding because on the other hand skating reminds me of her and well i would feel upset, it even affected my routine and training. So yeah this carried a strong special meaning to me, using the first dance choreo you taught me while including the dance steps into the routine, this routine was made with you on my mind. the flashback of me teaching you slalom and that special night we went to ECP instead with that beautiful view, time we spent learning learning that dance. OKAY ENOUGH EMO....Now back to my day's event!
so! Ryan and Xian Zhao surprised me with their standard and yes i am really really proud of them, it was too bad i could not see Jackie routine in action as well im sure it would have been another amazing one.
Before i went to take the stage. which had pretty good response =) tho i feel i could have done better but i did what i could on the grounds.
Well TP didnt walk home empty handed at least. WE ARE RISING!
And btw Xian Zhao, Ryan and Jackie i saw the status. I really cant bear to leave also. Thanks for walking this journey with me and hope we learn a lot form each other slalom or non slalom related.
After the comp we went for Frolick with Terence, Katoh,Ping Siang and Kimberly. We went around Bukit Batok to find the Frolick for a really long time before finding it hahas. And after that went down to AMK Hub with Terence and Kimberly for Fish and Co. I had the crab sauce fish and chips before we went below the MRT track to slalom.

Cherie dropped by and talk while i introduced her to Terence and Kimberly. Stayed there for around 2 hours while talking to Cherie and leisure slaloming hahas. before sending her back and made my way home. (ps Cherie got a lot prettier, im just saying)
But change of plans no more transport back so i stayed over at Terence place. hahas. IDK if i was tired or waht but its is really a great sleep. i KO all the way. maybe coz of all the dancing and skating. Talked a lot to Terence and Clarence while sharing things such as songs etc. really awesome experience!
